X-Ray (walk-in)
Our walk-in clinic is open Monday to Friday 8:00am-4:00pm with increased cleaning protocols in effect due to high volumes of walk-ins. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we try to accommodate all requests for testing at this location.
Mammography
The screening mammogram is a low-dose x-ray examination of the breasts that helps to detect early cancers and diseases in women without symptoms. It is a vital tool in diagnosing and treating these conditions to prevent more serious illnesses from developing later on.
HDIRS
The Health Diagnostic Imaging Repository Service is a data centre that contains all the diagnostic images from hospitals in Canada, and the United States. This makes it easier for radiologists to access previous diagnostic tests and images and allows for a faster treatment process.
Sonohysterography
The sonohysterogram is a safe and non-invasive procedure that provides considerable information about the uterus and fallopian tubes. This test can be performed to determine whether an ectopic pregnancy is present, as well as help to identify a number of abnormalities related to the pelvic lining including endometrial polyps and IUD position.
Automated Breast Ultrasound
The automated breast Ultrasound North York is a specialized procedure that uses advanced technology to take 3D pictures of the entire breast. This procedure is the first of its kind in Ontario and can help to provide better visualization of breast cancer.
Digital Mammography
The digital mammography machine is the latest and most advanced in the industry. It is the only x-ray machine that automatically generates digital images of the breast to reduce radiation exposure and improve the patient experience.
Chest X Ray
The chest x-ray is the most common type of x-ray performed in healthcare facilities. It is often a required imaging exam for immigrants to Canada who must pass an immigration medical examination in order to immigrate.
The x-ray is performed on patients with a referral from a referring physician, urgent care, sports medical doctor, or chiropractor. The radiologist interprets the x-ray and provides the report for the referring physician.
